Last week, HighStakes sent three lucky players to Dublin to take part in the Irish Poker Open Main Event. Jon “aduriz20” Gomez Samperio , Anthony “ThunderballsAK” Thunder and Giorgos “Onbidea” Loukas all made the trip to the Emerald Isle to take a shot at winning a slice of the €1 million guaranteed prize pool after winning a package in a satellite event.

Anthony Thunder and Giorgos Loukas didn’t manage to add any prize money to their career totals but Jon Gomez Samperio finished in an excellent 20th position, narrowly missing out on a seat on Day 4.

The Spaniard banked €12,500 for his efforts in what is only his second career cash after breaking his duck last month with a €2,150 score at home.
